Rocky’s Pride & Joy, a three-piece band from Adelaide, Australia, has announced the upcoming release of their debut album, “All The Colours Of Darkness,” via Electric Valley Records. The album, recorded at Twin Earth Studio, promises to deliver a sonic exploration of the darker aspects of life, touching on themes such as occult rituals, parasites, paranormal encounters, and revenge. The band’s origins can be traced back to a mysterious railway cottage in Adelaide’s western suburbs, where vocalist/guitarist Brenton Wilson, drummer Jessi Tilbrook, and bassist Dominic Ventra came together to write their first collection of songs, including “Crawl” and “Time’s Up.” Their shared passion for doom and fuzz led them to form a band and eventually take their live show on the road. Following a series of performances and the release of two singles, “Time’s Up” and “Future Self,” Rocky’s Pride & Joy has now signed with International label Electric Valley Records for the release of their debut album. The 8-track LP promises to deliver a heavier, more refined sound, with nasty fuzz saturated riffs, pounding drums, and window-rattling bass that will solidify the band’s place in the doom genre. The limited edition vinyl pressing of “All The Colours Of Darkness” includes 250 copies on black vinyl, 220 copies on transparent orange vinyl, and 30 ultra-limited “Altar Editions” featuring transparent orange vinyl, a special art insert, patch, band and label stickers. Fans of doom and heavy music won’t want to miss out on this highly anticipated release.
