Marking a decade of the notoriously brutal yet chic Hotline Miami, Devolver Digital, Dennaton Games, and Laced Records revive two killer soundtracks with an 8LP box set, Hotline Miami 1 & 2: The Complete Collection, pressed on traditional black vinyl for superior sound. The collection incorporates every in-game track from both series entries, including the previously unavailable Castanets’ “You Are The Blood,” all 76 tracks remastered for vinyl, housed in a sturdy board lift-off lid box accentuated with spot UV. The set also brims with extras: two 12″ art prints, a 50 Blessings symbol felt slipmat, and a metallic sticker. The newly conceived artwork is a collaboration between long-time Dennaton collaborator Niklas Åkerblad, also known as El Huervo or Beard, and illustrator IZMA, with the duo visualizing visceral scenes from the game’s lore. A decade later, Hotline Miami remains a neon-drenched indie icon, its soundtracks still reverberating as modern classics that helped define the synthwave movement of the 2010s.
