On their second full-length album, ‘Buried Deep In A Bottomless Grave’ (2019), Witch Vomit achieved a new level of barbaric mastery. They combined European and American Death Metal styles into a flawless blend of gore-soaked splendor.
Rather than simmering down with each release, Witch Vomit becomes more extreme. Their latest offering, ‘Abhorrent Rapture’, follows in the immediate and intense MLP format, similar to ‘Poisoned Blood’ (2017). It delivers four tracks of pure savagery in approximately 18 minutes, maintaining the eerie mood, creeping melodies, and grisly intimidation that define proper Death Metal.
While not a full-length album, ‘Abhorrent Rapture’ will temporarily satisfy the clamoring fans eagerly awaiting Witch Vomit’s next burial mound.
