Death’s second studio album, Leprosy, was released on November 16, 1988, on Combat Records. It is the band’s second studio album. It is the first example of Scott Burns’ work heard on many of the death metal and grindcore albums of the era, and it is noticeably different in tone and quality from the 1987 debut. Metal: A Headbanger’s Journey features the cover. It’s the first and only album on which drummer Bill Andrews appears, as well as the only one on which guitarist Rick Rozz appears.
